WHAT IS A BUSINESS COACH?

Not to be confused with a life coach, business coaches help leaders when they get stuck - we all get stuck. Sometimes it’s pointing out the obvious and other times coaches really roll up their sleeves to help solve a big problem. But at the core, a business coach should help unlock the leadership potential that lies within their client. Once that’s done, the “business” challenges become more clear and more easily tackled.

isn’t this a fancy word for consultant?

No…a business coach doesn’t step into an operating role and make changes for the CEO. An experienced business coach is a trusted advisor that helps the CEO, and if needed the leadership team, sift through the clutter so they can make the right decisions for their company.

Can we meet in person?

Yes. We can schedule specific times to meet each week, month or quarterly. For remote clients, travel costs are not included in the monthly retainer (although I travel cheap).

Why’d you name your company fidus?

“Fidus” is Latin for dependable, trustworthy, reliable, faithful, certain. The founders and CEOs I’ve worked with, along with many of my peers, will attest besides my ability to help businesses grow, “Fidus” is core to my personally.

What are your guarantees?

My guarantee is that I will work my tail off to ensure your success. I will guarantee to treat you and your team with deference. I’ll guarantee not to tell you I know your business better than you. I will guarantee that if I don’t have the answer to your question I will work with my extensive network of experienced leaders to help solve the challenge at hand. I guarantee if that if I don’t feel I’m adding value to you and your business then I will find the right coach for you.

What are your rates and do i have to sign a longterm agreement?

Rates are based on your specific need but primarily in the form of a no-strings-attached monthly retainer. Our agreement will be month-to-month. If you don’t see the value in our relationship we can part ways.

How many hours does the agreement cover?

There is no set number of hours included agreement; I’m an on-demand confidant. The key component of a business coaching relationship is to not worry about keeping track of the time we spend together solving your business challenges. If you’ll require a specific amount of hours, we’ll work that into the agreement.

Do I need to be a CEO to work with you?

No. Any leader who is responsible or participates in strategic and/or sales & marketing initiatives, P/L accountability and or operations would benefit from my experience. I’ve help brands such as ASICS, Oakley, Odyssey Golf, Zesty.io, GoShare, Rila, Digitile and Qualcomm with strategic positioning and or scaling challenges and worked with all levels of leaders in their mission to take their careers and businesses to the next level.

what hours do you work?

I’ve been running global technology companies for nearly thirteen years so I understand CEOs are not working 9-5. I will work within your parameters and schedule.

Absolutely. You can speak to as many as you’d like.
